Toolbelt Handyman Services is a small shop in Mechanicsburg, PA. We handle the small-to-medium jobs that most contractors won’t bother to call back about — and we built our own AI receptionist so nobody ends up in voicemail purgatory.
Most homeowners need a handyman two or three times a year. Most handymen are great with their hands and terrible with their phone — jobs going to voicemail, voicemails going unreturned, customers giving up and posting on Nextdoor. The work doesn’t get done.
Toolbelt was built to fix the phone, not just the drywall. We’re a small shop — a couple of techs, one truck per zone — serving Mechanicsburg and the 30-minute drive around it. Every call is answered. Every job gets a written quote range. Every customer gets a text when the tech is on the way.
The shop is run by Daniel Siemon, who also runs Go Green Paperless Initiative — a portfolio of small AI products built for service businesses across central PA. Toolbelt is the first one Daniel uses inside his own house. The tooling Riley runs on is the same tooling other shops will eventually license — built once, sharpened on a real handyman business.
Riley answers every call to (717) 594-9154 — first ring, 24/7. She talks like a dispatcher: listens to what’s broken, asks the two or three questions a tech would ask, gives a real ballpark, and books the appointment.
You’re not stuck in a phone tree. If you ask for a human, Riley hands off to one of us by SMS — usually within a few minutes during the day, next morning at night. No "press 1 for ..." menus, no language-detection trap, no voicemail wall.
Before the truck rolls, you get a text with the tech’s first name and ETA. Then a second text when they’re a few minutes out. That’s the whole flow — built so the work gets done, not so we can sell you software.
